from the editor
Welcome Dear Young Saints,
God did an amazing wonder when He commanded the light to shine out of darkness in the first day of creating the heaven and the earth. God does an amazing wonder today when He shines in your spiritual heart to give you the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
The title of your magazine, Ignited by the Word, is a beautiful title. As a young saint, you can say with certainty, you are ignited by the Word. What does that mean? God gives you faith to know him. God shines in your spiritual heart the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. How does God do that shining in your heart? Mainly by using your faithful minister when he preaches Jesus Christ to you twice each Sunday. You hear Jesus Christ through the voice of your minister. The Spirit of God gives you the light of the knowledge of the glory of God by the preaching of the Word.
Since God ignites you by the Word, you shine forth as a spiritual light amid the darkness of this sinful world. And remember this reality since we are often proud of ourselves, God ignites us by the Word in earthen vessels, earthly bodies, that are weak, that can be made sick by a Covid-19 virus we cannot see. Why? So that the excellency of the power of that igniting may be of God, and not of us.
Thanks be to God that we have Ignited by the Word to read and enjoy and be spiritually encouraged.
II Corinthians 4:6-7, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
For Jesus Christ our King,
